Timely Transitions ® is owned and operated by Susan von Suhrke, who lives in Crownsville, Maryland, just north of Annapolis. Susan and her husband have been residents of Maryland for over 20 years. She holds a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance and a Master of Arts in Theatre.
Susan has a wealth of administrative and event planning experience in addition to having worked in education, retail and corporate Human Resources.
A veteran of some 11 moves herself (several as a military wife), Susan is appreciative of how difficult relocation can be.
"Planning is key to a smooth transition of any kind, much less moving to a new home. If someone is moving to a smaller house, as we did when we moved to Maryland, then it is that much more challenging". Her expertise in organizing and the desire to put her creativity to good use led Susan to leave a corporate position to become a Senior Move Manager and Professional Organizer. Besides her own personal relocation experiences, she had to handle all the arrangements needed to close down her grandmother's home of 50+ years in Kansas City.
“Both my Mother and my Uncle died many years before continuous nursing care became necessary for my grandmother.As an only child and only grandchild, it pretty much fell to me to dispose of furniture, arrange for needed home repairs, and put her home up for sale.I would have welcomed the assistance of a Senior Move Manager, had I known of them”.
